To me - at least - being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a pretty big life accomplishment. Let’s review the band Rush’s acceptance…
Neil Peart and Geddy Lee’s speeches were those of gratitude and acknowledgement of this great accomplishment.
Alex Lifeson. WTF. WHY?! Way to be thankful. Ugh Canadians, honestly. What bothers me even more are the people saying “that was the best speech ever”.
Wrong.
I watched him babble on saying only “blah blah blah” for what felt like half an hour. It was awkwardly painful to watch.
My advice… a little humbleness goes a long way.
